Who runs this pilot

What we collect and why
We collect homeowner names, email addresses, phone numbers and job details to post jobs and connect them with trade businesses. For tradies we collect business and contact details, service areas, profile information and a protected password hash to manage accounts and matching. We also store responses, messages, visit details, agreed quotes, reviews and support requests. We use a short-lived, protected identifier derived from an IP address to limit abusive requests. Our hosting providers may hold security and request logs.
What other people can see
Matching tradies see job descriptions, trade, area, budget and timing. They do not see a homeowner’s phone or email until selected. Homeowners with a private job link see responding businesses, their profiles and completed-job reviews. A chosen tradie’s contact details are then shared with that homeowner. Private messages are visible to the participants and may be accessed by the operator when support or moderation requires it. Avoid putting contact details, street addresses or sensitive information in public job descriptions or reviews.
Your choices
Providing information is voluntary. Required form fields are needed to post a job, create an account or handle support. Optional profile information can be left blank. No card details are collected and no pilot subscription payment is taken. We do not use the details collected here to automatically subscribe you to marketing.
Storage and cookies
The pilot is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, with data handled by their infrastructure, which may be outside New Zealand. A necessary secure session cookie keeps tradies signed in. There are no advertising or analytics trackers added by the pilot app. Keep private job links safe: anyone who has a link can access and manage that job.
Retention and your rights
We retain account and job records while needed to operate the pilot, handle disputes and meet lawful obligations, and aim to remove information when no longer needed. You can request access, correction or deletion through Support. We may need to verify your identity first. A deletion request may be limited by records we reasonably need to retain; we will explain the outcome. If you disagree with a correction decision, you can ask for a statement of correction to be attached.

Choose Privacy / data request in Support and identify the account or job without sending your password or private job code. You may also contact the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
